The primary objectives of the ADAPT Program are to: promote readiness, health, and wellness through the prevention and treatment of substance misuse; to provide comprehensive education and treatment to individuals who experience problems attributed to substance misuse; and to restore function and return members to unrestricted duty status, or to assist them in their transition to civilian life, as appropriate. ADAPT provides service for all active duty personnel with alcohol or drug problems. The three methods of referral: self-identification; commander’s identification; and medical referral. The ADAPT staff is also available for presenting information and participating in outreach activities upon request.
